Our Spring Guide For 2022

Spring Has SPRUNG

Spring is in full effect and I’m here to show you our Spring Guide to make the most out of this season. Spring is the month for sunny drives, sprouted flowers, longer days, and all around just a happy, relaxing time. Read along for our Spring Guide for 2022!

Relaxing Time

Indulge in Alllllll The Fruits And Vegetables

Some of the best fruits and veggies are in season in the Spring. From apples, apricots, and carrots, to avocados, bananas and broccoli. It’s so important to take advantage of these superfoods this time of year, I mean who wants rock-hard or squishy avo’s? NOT ME. Not only is this the best time of year for some of your favorite veggie snacks, but it also aids in giving your skin that extra glow. Fruitsandveggies.org tells us that, “new research suggests that fruits and vegetables may also give a healthier and more attractive golden glow to the skin than the sun. This research suggests that healthy eating habits, which include adequate fruit and vegetable intake, have been correlated with a dewy skin complexion.” UMMM count me in!

Use Hair & Skin Products That Will Protect From The Sun!

Most of us already know the importance of wearing SPF protection on our skin in the sun (although it’s important year round, really), however many of us tend to forget if we don’t think we’ll be outside much–including me. It is so crucial to protect your skin even if you’re just running to the grocery store or grabbing a cup of your favorite coffee, any sort of sun exposure can and will affect your skin in some sort of way. So remember ladies…WEAR YOUR SPF! Our Face & Body SPF 27 Sunscreen contains 10% non-nanoparticles of natural zinc, which will protect from both UVA and UVB rays. And don’t worry, you won’t be looking like a ghost when you put it on either–it is extremely blendable and buildable!

Not only is protecting your skin important, but protecting your hair in the sunny months as well! Think of the sun as a straightener or a curling iron, if that heat can damage our luscious locks–so can the sun! Health.clevelandclinic.org mentions that,”if your hair has prolonged exposure to the sun, UVA and UVB rays can damage the outside cover of the hair strand, called the cuticle, says dermatologist Wilma Bergfeld, MD.” Although all hair types and colors are prone to damage from the sun, lighter shades of hair are more likely to undergo more damage. This means, my fellow blondies, protect that hair!!! Ways to do this can be wearing a hat, putting our hair in a bun or braid, and using moisturizing conditioners and hair oils. The more our hair is hydrated, the less likely the sun will get to the cuticle. Our Worry Free Leave-In Treatment contains sunflower seed oil, leaving your hair rejuvenated and moisturized. Give it a try, your hair will thank you later…

Go On Fun Spring Adventures

I don’t know about you, but I will definitely be taking advantage of these sunny days with fun Spring activities. Even if it’s just taking a scenic walk or reading a book down by the beach, it’s so important to get out in the sun and get that vitamin D (with SPF on, of course). And if you’re lucky enough to get a day off, take the time to plan an adventure! Seeing the Cherry blossoms, heading over to a flower garden, an extravagant picnic–anything that you wouldn’t be able to take advantage of in the dead of winter. These small getaways really fuel the soul and help to recharge your battery. I remember a time when I was in college and my roommates and I were in dire need of a getaway. We decided to make a 4 hour drive to Bodega Bay and let me tell you, it was the most relaxing, freeing thing we ever did. Seeing the beautiful nature that surrounded us and trying new places to eat, it really is something that I will remember forever. So what are you waiting for, plan that adventure!!!
